This tray uses the print "Prismatic,", a shaded color wheel by artist and engraver Moses Harris. This hand-painted print is from the book The Natural System of Colour published around 1776 in England. Harris is said to be the inventor of the color wheel and his hand tinted etching is possibly the earliest depiction of its type. The drawing is derived from three colors Red, Yellow, and Blue.
